We firmly believe that it is better to request a refund from a merchant first rather than calling your bank or credit card issuer first. When you contact a merchant directly, that merchant can see the details of your account and address your concerns firsthand.

For example, if a customer orders a product from a merchant and the product never arrives, then that customer can explain this situation directly to the merchant and secure a refund (or a replacement product).
